SCWA Project Protects Long Island’s Drinking Water

We’re proud to share our recent project with the Suffolk County Water Authority (SCWA) at the Old Dock Well Field in Kings Park, NY. As part of the ongoing effort to improve water quality on Long Island, L.E.B. Electric was brought in to help upgrade critical systems that will aid in the removal of 1,4-dioxane.

L.E.B. Completes Electrical Work at SCWA Old Dock Well Field to Remove 1,4-Dioxane from LI’s Drinking Water

L.E.B. Electric completed all electrical work for the new Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP)/GAC facility at the Suffolk County Water Authority’s Old Dock Well Field in Kings Park.

This state-of-the-art facility is designed to remove 1,4-dioxane, an emerging contaminant and likely human carcinogen, from Long Island’s drinking water. The AOP-GAC treatment system is the only method approved by state and local health departments for eliminating this harmful chemical.

Our team handled:
✅ All electrical installations for the facility’s core building
✅ Full electrical integration for the two new AOP systems

L.E.B. played a role in delivering safer, cleaner water to our communities through reliable electrical work that ensures our public health is strong.
